Hello! My full pen name is Yatsuka Hikagi, but for convenience's sake, I usually stick to just Hikagi. I identify as an Asian/Pacific Islander, which (in this case) means you'll occasionally see me refer to myself in third person (as Ika). The Chinese character on my avatar's forehead is how you would traditionally write my last name.

I am a crossover maniac. It didn't originally start out this way, but I've found that I love to spot out patterns within a series and try to find logical (the word is used loosely) ways to tie universes together. Unfortunately, I get so carried away by the idea of two fandoms being able to coexist and figuring out all sorts of similarities between the two that I usually don't get past their initial meeting; for this reason, most of the fanfiction I post are grouped in collections of one-shots instead of being posted as stand-alone stories.

Also unfortunately, I am very much a chronic procrastinator and suffer from a near-permanent case of Artists/Writers' Block. Updates are usually sporadic and dependent on available time and how furiously my plot bunnies decide to attack me. It doesn't help that my love for any particular series usually wanes (due to either the passage of time or plot-going-downhill) before I can muster up the energy to write.

I love taking personality quizzes. According to the Myers-Briggs test, I am an INTJ type. Actually, the INT parts are pretty much spot on, but I sometimes get INTP because I am so borderline on the Judgement versus Perception field. Recently, a family friend bought me a Strengths Finder book, and I was really amused by my results.

My top five themes are: Strategic, Ideation, Analytical, Intellection, and Input. This is what they translate to:
1. I can spot patterns.
2. I am fascinated by ideas and can find connections between seemingly unrelated things.
3. I like cause and effect.
4. I like intellectual activity.
5. I like to learn.

The more detailed reports all had something or another to do with reading and taking in information, which I was not surprised about at all. (If only I could find a job or profession that matches my strengths… *sigh*.)
